The True Beauty of Women

by Raymond Karam, Goonellabah

A few weekends ago I was invited to an International Women’s Day function organised by Real Media Real Change (RMRC) in collaboration with Esoteric Women’s Health. I was under the impression that I was there to support them. I was wrong.

From the car trip there, to walking into the function, there was something bigger offered than what I had thought. There was something different about the women, something that I hadn’t chosen to see before… or possibly something that wasn’t there before. They  were dressed differently. It seemed to me like each one of them was having their own little celebration with themselves, but also sharing it with each other. Each of the women was doing their little part of the organisation of the event. I didn’t see one woman in charge and others following instructions. I saw women together, sharing each other and their time. They were all shining together – it was amazing.

The two presenters, one of whom was Natalie Benhayon, didn’t compete with each other on what they said, they weren’t trying to be better or the best. It seemed to me they supported each other, complemented each other without trying to. I watched how different women at the function were also drawn to the different presenters. Some related to one and others related to the other. It was almost like that without planning it – these two ladies presenting together were able to cover the whole group with what they said.

What I saw was completely different to my past experiences with women in groups. It has changed how I see women. To me, what I saw and experienced was truly beautiful.  Thank you.

  1. Women working together in equalness and celebration of our preciousness is a very nurturing experience to observe

  2. “They were all shining together – it was amazing.” How beautiful it is to work and live together with no comparison or judgement.

  3. Thank you for sharing your appreciation of the harmony there is when women truly work together without jealousy and comparison.

  4. When we welcome and are open to a beautiful, glorious reflection in front of us it can have a profound effect on us but the truth is what is seen and felt is awakened to be accepted and claimed within us too.

  5. To work together without competition or comparison is very beautiful and when we experience it we just melt and understand that each brings a piece and we’re all the richer for all those pieces together.

  6. “It was almost like that without planning it – these two ladies presenting together were able to cover the whole group with what they said”. This is the beauty of when we just be ourselves. Together like a rainbow we represent the whole, pure light, although individually we may be the purple or yellow aspect of light. This shows me how we each have something of value to bring that will be just the right fit for someone else. Without this being represented, there will be an aspect missing and we are all left less.

    1. I love the rainbow analogy as we can all be part of something that we bring our unique presence to whilst being in harmony with what is needed for all.

  7. Women being in equality with each other are a joy to be among. Thank you Raymond for sharing how this felt, from a man’s perspective.

  8. Beautiful observations Raymond, that share a lot about you too because you were able to observe all what you shared here.

  9. Women reflecting their sacredness for all to feel showing that there is no place for jealousy and comparison as we all have our unique contribution to make.

  10. Thank you for expressing your appreciation of what you felt at this event and for sharing the inspiration of how powerful women are when they come together for a common purpose and get themselves out of the way.

  11. What you describe and share about how the women were together, is amazing and very beautiful, ‘I saw women together, sharing each other and their time. They were all shining together – it was amazing.’

  12. It is our natural way for women to embrace and support each other and it is something that many of us miss- a deeper level of love, connection and support with other women.

  13. What you have so beautifully shared Ray is the way in which true sisterhood and connection can not only bring all women together but the importance of appreciating and celebrating our connection to self and then not holding back in sharing this love with everyone else equally so. Simply awesome thank you.

  14. There is a quality that Natalie lives that reminds all women of a beauty that they all hold and through this reflection she offers a way of how to be with each other in a way that embraces your own beauty and appreciates that of others.

  15. Thank you Ray for sharing your insightful observations. I love this point – ‘It seemed to me like each one of them was having their own little celebration with themselves, but also sharing it with each other.’ – as it highlights the joy that naturally emanates from a woman, or any of us, when she is in connection to herself, and the inspiring reflection this offers all other without imposition.

  16. Supporting each other to express in our fullness and knowing we will each offer what is perfect for another to receive. To think we are everyone’s solution or perfect fit negates the fact that we each hear things and learn in different ways and therefore the many forms of expression are very much needed.

  17. I feel the same way when I see men from the Universal Medicine student body come together, it blows away all my notions of men and clears the way for something that is far grander.

  18. “They were dressed differently. It seemed to me like each one of them was having their own little celebration with themselves, but also sharing it with each other.” This is a beautiful observation Ray, and I can feel the joy with which the women were holding themselves at the same time as enjoying everyone else this to me is true Sisterhood and Brotherhood

  19. Thank you for sharing Ray. This sounds like an incredible event. So many events are pulled together by people who are stressed and anxious. I can see that an event that is coordinated by a team that is truly harmonious is a wonderful offering in itself.

  20. Beautiful what you have shared and appreciated on that day Ray, the wisdom love and harmony that you saw and felt amongst woman will be the fore runner of what is possible when jealousy competition and comparison are no longer lived in the lives of women.
